VICTORIA'S BIGGEST SECRET

Fashion is one of those industries, like many, that are not inclusive of everyone and it can seem beyond elitist.  One brand I feel could work on their diversity and inclusiveness of everyone is; Victoria Secret.

The brand itself is so full of life, and the Victoria Secret show, for many people my age, is highly anticipated and people love to watch the extravagance. The shows are more like entertainment than anything else. The designs are beautiful, and there is no discouragement when it comes to the craftsmanship of what they create. HOWEVER...

I just don't think the brand is inclusive of everyone. The models are a bunch of girls that are the ideal vision of beauty that is predominant in films, social media and in magazines. They are all portrayed as best friends, and quite frankly, I call bullshit. I think its all to benefit the brand.

I dont understand why Victoria Secret have no developed and had models that were not typically beautiful. I want to see women of all different shapes, sizes, skin tones. I want to see women with disabilities, women that are proud representatives of the LGBTQ+ community, women over the age of 30. I WANT DIVERSITY.

It's not even just about being inclusive of everyone. Of course that is majorly important but apart from that, Victoria Secret is getting boring. Im bored of seeing the same thing. Imagine the press attention Victoria Secret would get for changing things up a bit. I would be so fascinated to see what they would come up with.

THANK YOU
